WHAT IS CORDURA® FIBRE

Cordura® is prized in motorcycle denim because it bridges the gap between casual street style and heavy-duty slide protection. By blending high-tenacity nylon 6,6 fibres directly into cotton denim, it delivers up to four times the abrasion resistance of standard cotton without adding bulk or stiffness.

In motorcycle jeans, Cordura® denim is used to construct lightweight single-layer trousers that meet strict CE safety ratings, offering riders crucial tear and slide protection while retaining the breathability, flexibility, and look of regular everyday denim.

WHAT IS COOLMAX® FIBRE

Coolmax® fibre is essential in motorcycle denim and technical riding apparel because it excels at thermal regulation and moisture management. Engineered with specially designed multi-channel polyester fibres, it uses capillary action to pull sweat away from the rider's skin to the outer surface of the fabric, where it evaporates rapidly. When woven directly into motorcycle denim, Coolmax® prevents jeans from sticking to the skin during warm-weather rides, drastically reducing heat buildup under protective armour and keeping riders cool, dry, and comfortable on long journeys.

How To Get Your Measurments

1) Lay your jeans flat on a table with the button and zipper done up.

2) With band pulled out firmly measure one side to the other using inches or centimetres. Merlin jeans will not shrink, they will give a bit after being worn for a short time so best to start firm.

3) Double the measurement = Your Merlin Jeans waist size.
